Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of the Community Holiness Chapel based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical doctrines.

The Bible
Is the verbally inspired Word of God without mistakes as originally written.

One God
He is the Triune God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and equal in glory and power.

The Father
Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler of the universe; Giver of all life; Father and Disciplinarian of His chosen in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ
His diety; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return.

The Holy Spirit
Indwells in all believers thus enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer.

The Fall of Mankind
Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but by disobeying God, every person, because of Adam’s sin, inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God; and that man is unable to save himself from this lost condition.

Salvation
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins. All who believe in him in their heart, confess him with their mouth, have received the free gift of GOD through grace, salvation. We can be declared righteous because of His sacrificial death.

Eternity
The bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived; the saved to eternal life with God, and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God’s forgiveness through faith, in His Son.
